Air & Ocean Export Agent
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Air & Ocean Export Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing shipments and managing all related activities for an assigned group of accounts.
This position requires daily communication with clients, carriers, vendors, suppliers, and potential clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-service oriented, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Process and coordinate export shipments from start to finish.
Prepare shipping documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, and export declarations.
File SEDs (Shipper's Export Declarations) and ensure export documentation is accurate and complete.
Track and trace cargo as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery.
Provide the Accounting Department with accurate and timely billing information.
Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, tracking and tracing, routing, dispatching, and rate quotations.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
Determine the most profitable and efficient method of shipment while meeting the client's requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide proactive customer service.
Handle multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
Resolve shipment issues in a timely and professional manner.
Perform other duties related to export operations as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in the Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Air Export, or Ocean Export industry preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal personnel.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proactive, dependable, career-oriented, and hardworking.
Quick learner with the ability to retain and apply information effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with standard office software.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
