Function: Transports patients throughout the hospital and provide training and directions for new employees.
Scope: Impacts patient care and transportation.

Orientation and Ongoing Training: Provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing training to contingency patient escorts, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
Safety and Promptness: Demonstrate the ability to transport patients and specimens safely and promptly, adhering to all relevant protocols and procedures.
Hiring and Selection: Actively participate in the hiring and selection process, ensuring that the best candidates are chosen for the roles.
Equipment Knowledge: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all equipment needed to transport patients, ensuring it is used correctly and efficiently.
III. Team with Others
Relationship Management: Initiate, develop, and manage relationships and networks both within and outside the organization.
Collaboration and Input: Encourage collaboration and seek input from all team members, fostering a supportive and inclusive team environment.
Valuing Contributions: Demonstrate value for the contributions of all team members and balance individual and team goals, ensuring that everyone feels recognized and that both individual and collective objectives are met.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Education Preferred: None.
Experience Required: Two years patient transportation, healthcare or hospitality experience to include 1 year in lead or training role.
Experience Preferred: None.
Licensure/Certification Required: None.
Licensure/Certification Preferred: Heart Saver with Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Other Required: None.
