Work Environment
This is a remote position conducted entirely through telehealth, allowing for flexible engagement with patients from the comfort of your own space. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. You will be supported by a collaborative team that emphasizes professional growth and the sharing of best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to develop tailored treatment plans that reflect patients' unique life experiences and backgrounds.
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic approaches suited to each patient's needs.
- Engage in crisis intervention by offering immediate support and identifying resources that can aid individuals in distress.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, providing guidance on treatment options and community resources available to them.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems for seamless tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for every patient.
- Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings, contributing your insights and fostering a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our practice specializes in providing mental health services to a broad spectrum of clients, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. As part of our team, you will work closely with patients facing unique mental health challenges rooted in their cultural experiences. Your capacity to understand and address these nuances will be pivotal in fostering positive treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Texas.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and a demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders.
- Ability to conduct individual and group therapy utilizing culturally responsive and inclusive methodologies.
- Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with a calm demeanor in high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent communication abilities, fostering rapport with diverse populations.
- A commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and setting appropriate boundaries.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working within a multicultural clinical setting is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems to streamline patient care processes.
- Prior involvement in training or workshops focusing on cultural competency and diversity within mental health practice.
Compensation and Benefits
We are proud to offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
