Job Highlights
- Inspect properties damaged by various perils, including wind, hail, water, lightning, fire, and more
- Travel at least 70% of the time throughout the United States, including overnight travel
- Drive to properties to conduct on-site inspections and evaluate damages.
- Review policies and endorsements to determine coverage
- Prepare damage estimates using the Xactimate program
- Settle claims on-site directly with customers
- When travel or weather conditions prevent on-site inspections, handle claims remotely using the ClaimsX Video Collaboration platform
Candidate Profile
- Valid driver's license required; must be at least 21 and reside within 50 miles of Houston, TX
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; prior adjusting experience and Xactimate proficiency preferred
- Willing and able to travel up to 70% nationwide, including overnight trips
- Physically capable of carrying a 50-lb ladder and accessing roofs up to a 6/12 pitch
- Strong critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail for accurate damage assessment and claim resolution
Additional Information
- 10-day on / 4-day off schedule with 12-hour workdays year-round
- Sign On Bonus: You may be eligible for a $1000 sign on bonus if you have the active licenses needed for this role (Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License)
