Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Estimated Salary: $96,000 – $115,200 per year

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role focuses on managing and enhancing a suite of security tools and systems, helping to protect enterprise assets and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Cyber Architects and Incident Response teams to develop and implement security tools and policies that strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture.
• Deploy, maintain, and manage cybersecurity solutions across a global enterprise infrastructure.
• Design and implement custom policies and configurations within security tools to meet alerting, compliance, and operational workflow requirements.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging cybersecurity technologies and enhancements.
• Align security technology implementations with overall risk management and compliance strategies.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and incidents.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• Security certification required (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or equivalent).
• Additional certifications such as MCSE are preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years in IT, including at least 3 years focused specifically on cybersecurity.
• 20+ years combined IT and security experience is preferred.

Technical Proficiency

Network Security Tools:

• IPS/IDS, next-generation firewalls, behavioral analytics platforms, malware forensics tools.

Host-Based Security Solutions:

• HIDS, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Tripwire FIM & SCM, SentinelOne (S1), Tanium, Zscaler.

Systems & Databases (On-Prem & Cloud):

Monitoring & Analytics:

• Experience implementing and optimizing SIEM platforms (e.g., IBM QRadar).
• Familiarity with secure communication protocols and system integration methods.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to document control measures and provide audit-ready reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for cross-team collaboration and reporting.
