Job Summary
Sysco is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their Cybersecurity team. The role involves working with various tools to enhance the organization's security posture. The engineer will manage, maintain, and improve cybersecurity tools while collaborating with other teams to secure Sysco assets.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Cyber Architects and Incident Response teams to develop cybersecurity tools that enhance the enterprise's security posture.
Deploy, manage, and maintain cybersecurity tools across the global enterprise.
Design and implement custom policies within each tool to support alerting and workflow requirements.
Research, evaluate, recommend, test, and implement new security technologies.
Implement technical security solutions and policies aligned with business risk.
Participate in a rotation on-call system to support the business 24/7.
Qualifications
Education
- Security Certification - Required
- CISSP, CEH, MCSE certifications - Preferred
Experience
- Minimum 8 years in IT with at least 3 years focused on security - Required
- 20 years in IT and security combined - Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Security Certification (e.g., CISSP, CEH, MCSE)
Technical Skills
- Network Security Solutions: IPS/IDS, NG Firewalls, Behavioral Analytics, Malware Forensics, etc.
- Host Security Solutions: HIDS, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Tripwire FIM & SCM, S1, Tanium, Zscaler
- System & Database Platforms: Linux, Windows, Unix, Oracle, DB/2, SQL (On-Premises and Cloud)
- Monitoring & Analytics: SIEM (Qradar) implementation and optimization experience
- Communication & Integration Technologies: Secure communication and system integration methodologies
- Document work papers as evidence of control effectiveness or deficiencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
