This position is remote, but the candidate must be local to Houston to attend monthly onsite meetings.

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager - Cybersecurity to navigate complex projects across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional who requires minimal guidance, can effectively align differing opinions, and is a proven hands-on leader with knowledge of cybersecurity processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:

• Mobilize and organize large, complex projects with minimal direction.
• Ensure project success using the Triple Constraint method to manage scope, cost, and time.
• Evaluate project metrics leveraging PMI schedule and financial reporting methods.
• Conduct impact analysis and manage change using standard techniques.
• Develop communication plans and stakeholder analysis to manage expectations.
• Develop and manage risk mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Communicate complex project scenarios transparently to stakeholders and executives.
• Plan and execute multiple large IT projects simultaneously, from planning to execution.
• Manage shifting stakeholder expectations and coordinate with departments on cybersecurity.
• Manage third-party vendors and multiple project aspects concurrently.
• Create project schedules using critical path techniques aligned with PMI standards.
• Develop and implement training, testing, go-live, and post-go-live strategies.
• Ensure deliverables are met on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
• Communicate technical ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record managing complex IT projects, including project health and financials.
• Over 8 years of project and/or program management experience.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• Ability to build high-performing, inclusive project teams across regions.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in an IT-related field.
• Strong business acumen.
• Experience with Waterfall or hybrid delivery frameworks (not solely Agile).
• Hands-on experience with user adoption strategies and change management.
• Proficiency with MS Project and other PM tools.
• Previous IT Cybersecurity project experience, with strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and solutions.
• Experience developing cybersecurity project plans and strategies.
• Ability to identify security risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Experience collaborating with security monitoring teams and evaluating security measures.
