About indiGO Auto Group and Pon North America:
indiGO Auto Group is a globally recognized and award-winning company, dedicated to outstanding customer care and operational excellence. As an industry thought leader, indiGO operates 27 franchised dealerships across seven US markets. They represent premier automotive brands including Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Rimac, and Volkswagen. indiGO is committed to fostering a world-class team and is always seeking motivated professionals who thrive in a collaborative environment.
Pon North America is a significant division within Pon Holdings, encompassing a diverse portfolio of businesses in various sectors across the region. With a recent transition of its IT responsibilities to indiGO Auto Group following a major security incident, PNA represents a critical focus area for this IT Director role.
What we are looking for:
indiGO Auto Group is seeking a visionary and results-oriented full-time IT Director to join our leadership team, driving the strategic evolution of our technology landscape across both Pon North America (PNA) and indiGO Auto Group (IAG). In an era of rapid digital transformation and increasing cyber threats, this critical role is tasked not merely with managing, but with architecting, fortifying, and innovating our IT ecosystem.
We are looking for a transformative leader who will be ultimately accountable for the architecture, governance, and strategic management of our robust IT infrastructure, the smart use and comprehensive security of our data, and the seamless operation of all business applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of significant strategic imperatives: establishing an overarching IT & Security roadmap, ensuring robust FTC Safeguards compliance, consolidating and optimizing IT infrastructure, and nurturing a data-driven culture.
The ideal candidate will define and execute a proactive IT strategy that transcends day-to-day operations to become a true business enabler. They will be instrumental in building and leading the charge in comprehensive cybersecurity, safeguarding our assets against an evolving threat landscape. Furthermore, they will be responsible for orchestrating the seamless integration of IT systems across multiple, dynamic markets and brands, actively addressing existing backlogs in lifecycle management and procurement, and cultivating strategic partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders to elevate service levels and drive continuous innovation.
The IT Director will be an integral part of the IAG Management Team and will actively participate in Pon Global IT Leadership meetings. The current IAG IT Manager will report directly to this position, and the Security & Privacy Manager will have a functional reporting line. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive significant technological advancement within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
This is what we offer:
- Opportunity to work in a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Comprehensive insurance plans: medical, dental, vision, life, health savings account, and flexible spending account.
- Unlimited professional training opportunities.
- Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.
- Significant opportunity for advancement within a growing company.
- Access to brand new, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Here is what an ordinary day of work may look like:
- Collaborate strategically with the executive team in Houston, local dealership general managers, and store colleagues. Foster strong relationships within the broader Pon organization and with third-party partners.
- Oversee, develop and maintain the IT strategy for IAG.
- Champion and drive digital innovation and customer journey enhancements, ensuring IT acts as a business enabler and accelerator.
- Manage the comprehensive IT Budget for the entire entity.
- Develop, own, and execute the enterprise-wide technology roadmap, including proactive technology lifecycle management to address existing backlogs and ensure continuous modernization.
- Assume ultimate responsibility for IT security and privacy, working in close coordination with Pon Security colleagues. Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity measures and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks, including FTC Safeguards.
- Uphold and continuously improve the IT policies and controls framework.
- Provide strategic oversight and management for third-party IT service providers for day-to-day operations and maintenance. This includes conducting market comparisons and discussions with current providers (e.g., 3D) to assess capabilities for absorbing PNA workspaces and infrastructure, and to drive improvements in IT service levels.
- Manage key contracts with all IT vendors, with a particular focus on core contracts like Tekion (DMS).
- Lead initiatives to educate indiGO employees on IT best practices and effective use of daily applications.
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous refinement of IT processes and procedures documentation.
- Serve as a key IT lead on acquisition teams for new dealerships, assessing existing IT infrastructure and developing comprehensive integration and improvement plans.
- Ensure that new IT initiatives and technology are seamlessly integrated into the company's overall strategy, translating strategic vision into tangible changes and measurable improvements.
- Drive digitalization efforts across key business areas, including e-commerce (content, performance, security) and car digitalization/electrification.
- Bring a creative and forward-thinking digital/IT perspective to company decision-making processes.
- Coordinate relevant digital innovations with other geographies within Pon Luxury & Performance Cars.
- Engage with digital counterparts at key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to understand and integrate their digital innovations for dealers and customers.
- Initiate and oversee regular dealer location site visits to conduct IT infrastructure and security assessments, providing a clear overview of the current state.
- Based on IT, Security, and Privacy assessments, develop and implement a comprehensive IT for PNA and IAG, providing input for future budgets (e.g., 2026).
- Facilitate the migration of PNA's IT responsibility to indiGO Auto Group, bringing PNA's IT infrastructure under the control of the IAG IT Manager and strategically outsourcing services to third-party IT suppliers where appropriate.
- Lead the transition of traditional fileserver infrastructure to modern, collaborative environments (e.g., Google Drive or OneDrive).
- Define and establish an IT capability model, outlining which IT services are best outsourced and specifying required service levels in contracts.
- Lead the development of a robust data capability within the organization, integrating it with existing teams to enhance the ability to execute data-driven business processes.
The opportunity is for you if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, with at least 7 years in a senior IT management or director-level role overseeing complex IT environments.
- Extensive experience in managing enterprise-level IT teams and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive Digital Strategy that drives significant business value creation.
- Willingness to submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change as dictated by business needs and organizational evolution. The employee is expected to perform other tasks, duties, and training as assigned by their supervisors.
