Job Description


Responsibilities

Responsible for providing leadership and direction related to financial & statistical reporting, provider compensation, planning & budgeting, forecasting, analysis, financial modeling, management reporting, and decision support for the Medical Group.

1. Responsible for financial analysis, variance, and statistical reporting for the Medical Group.
2. Provides oversight of all aspects of provider compensation, including production, quality metrics, call pay, APC supervision, and expense reimbursement.
3. Directs the development and monitoring of the Medical Group's annual operating budget, including:
a.) Building payroll and general ledger budget models using the budgeting tool.
b.) Serving as the main finance contact for assigned clinics and markets.
c.) Assisting Medical Group executives in developing volume assumptions for budgeting.
d.) Providing system training to clinic managers and supporting data input and reporting.
e.) Supporting clinics in interpreting financial results and analyzing variances throughout the year.
4. Leads in developing internal budget reports, spending, variance analysis, and financial forecasts.
5. Supports strategic financial planning through long-range financial management.
6. Assists in building financial models and proformas for new providers, clinic acquisitions, and service lines.
7. Provides leadership to the finance team and promotes a culture of disciplined financial analytics supporting business decisions.
8. Conducts special financial and business studies in collaboration with other departments.
9. Supervises and manages employee performance.
10. Prepares financial presentations for board meetings.
11. Consults with operations leadership to identify and correct negative patterns in production and expenses.
12. Monitors and establishes reconciliation procedures.


Qualifications

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's Degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.

Experience

At least eight (8) years of relevant professional finance experience, preferably in healthcare.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Strong written and oral communication skills for interacting at all management levels.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to changing responsibilities.
