Position Overview:

Under minimal supervision, the Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations,analyzing financial data, and providing strategic guidance to optimize the financial health andperformance of the department. In this role, the Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders andentities to make informed financial decisions and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Incumbents in this role are expected to have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports tosenior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Analyze financial data to identifytrends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement, while also monitoring and interpreting financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Assists with developing and managing the annual budgetingprocess in collaboration with the Director, while also creating financial forecasts and projections to guide strategic planning and decision-making. Monitors budget variances, providing insights toaddress deviations from planned financial goals.
  • Financial Strategy:Contributes to formulating and executing the organization's financialstrategy, offering insights and recommendations to senior management to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:Ensures compliance with financial regulations, laws, andaccounting standards, implementing internal controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks.Collaborates with key stakeholders during external audits, providing the necessary
  • Stakeholder Communication:Effectively communicates financial results, insights, andrecommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, actively participating in meetings and presentations to offer valuable financial perspectives on business decisions.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in financial operations, financial planning, or business management.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and systems.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulations.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position with the typical work hours of Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Occasional weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required based on the specific needs anddemands of the department.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • This position is based in an office environment, where the use of standard office equipment suchas computers, phones, scanners, and filing cabinets is routine.
  • The physical demands associatedwith this job are minimal, with occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • The role is predominantly sedentary, involving mainly sitting with occasional standing andwalking.
