Position Details
We are currently looking for a Director – Financial Instruments and Hedge Accounting within our Deal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of KPMG's financial instruments and hedge accounting services, supporting client needs and developing tools to improve delivery efficiency.
- Lead the education and development of the Accounting Advisory team through formal training and client engagement opportunities.
- Prepare and present accounting analyses, including drafting technical whitepapers and presentations.
Qualifications
- At least seven years of recent experience in financial audit or accounting advisory at a public accounting or advisory firm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
- CPA license or equivalent certification required.
- Extensive experience with accounting standards related to financial instruments, derivatives, hedge accounting, and embedded derivatives in various contracts.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary ranges are compliant with local regulations and are based on various factors including experience and location. KPMG offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health plans, 401(k), and wellness benefits. For salary details outside California, refer to this link. The California salary range is $172,400 - $319,400.
