Principal Accountant – External / SEC Reporting

We are seeking a Principal Accountant – External Reporting to join the high-caliber finance team of one of the world's largest and most respected providers of products and services to the global energy industry. This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled CPA with strong SEC reporting experience and a background in Big Four public accounting to thrive in a dynamic, high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with External Reporting leadership on quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) using Workiva and XBRL tools.

Prepare and review earnings releases, earnings call scripts, and financial data for investor presentations in coordination with the Investor Relations team.

Serve as a key contributor in the drafting and review of MD&A, financial statements, and footnote disclosures.

Provide detailed reviews of supporting workpapers and financial analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

Lead and mentor team members by offering guidance and training, while developing supervisory capabilities through project and task oversight.

Partner with internal departments and business units to resolve accounting and reporting issues.

Respond to audit inquiries and coordinate deliverables with both internal and external auditors.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives, ad-hoc analysis, and special projects, including corporate transactions and external communications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – REQUIRED.

Big Four public accounting experience – REQUIRED.

5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on experience preparing SEC filings.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC Reporting, and internal control frameworks.

Prior experience with XBRL, Workiva, and Hyperion is highly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Pro.

Willingness to work extended hours during filing periods to meet deadlines.
