Join a mission-driven organization that is transforming health outcomes nationwide.

Position Summary

The Director of Compliance serves as a strategic leader in ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with federal and state regulations, with a focus on Brello Health and related Alaya Health Group (AHG) business units. This role plays a key part in overseeing regulatory compliance for all marketing and promotional materials—across digital, print, and video platforms—to ensure alignment with FDA, FTC, HIPAA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with legal, marketing, and operational teams to assess regulatory risk and implement effective, scalable compliance strategies that support growth and protect our brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotional Compliance

  • Serve as the final compliance reviewer for all external-facing marketing, advertising, and sales content, including email, web, social media, SMS, print, and video.
  • Partner with legal and marketing to create compliant templates and workflows for advertising and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure all promotional messaging aligns with FDA-approved labeling, scope of compounding, HIPAA standards, and internal risk tolerance.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams and external creative vendors on regulatory limitations and required disclosures.

Regulatory Strategy & Oversight

  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate updates in federal and state regulations related to 503A compounding, telehealth, supplements, and DTC health products.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and dynamic tracker for licensing requirements, Board of Pharmacy guidance, and state-specific compounding laws.
  • Identify and proactively address regulatory gaps in business practices or marketing strategies, especially for GLP-1 and other high-risk categories.

Compliance Operations

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to manage and resolve compliance deviations or regulatory incidents.
  • Deliver timely compliance updates and risk assessments to executive leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on emerging regulatory trends and enforcement priorities that impact business operations and promotional strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field may be considered with extensive applicable experience.
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing (multi-state licensure is highly desirable).
  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs or compliance within pharmacy, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Strong background in reviewing and approving promotional content for FDA/FTC compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of compounding regulations (503A), DEA registration, HIPAA, USP <795>/<797>/<800>, and state pharmacy board standards.
  • Experience with a 503B compounding manufacturer with exposure to marketing or FDA-approved practices, or experience with pharmaceutical suppliers or telehealth companies.
  • Demonstrated experience with HIPPA compliant document storage and handling practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy setting, with a deep understanding of regulatory nuances and industry best practices.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Previous involvement in launching or scaling compliance frameworks for direct-to-consumer or telehealth healthcare products.
  • Prior experience supporting telehealth or direct-to-consumer healthcare models is a plus.
  • Click Up software experience
  • Proven experience with Google Docs and other Google Workspace products.
  • Certification in Regulatory Affairs (e.g., RAC) or Compliance (e.g., CHC) that demonstrates continued commitment to professional excellence and regulatory leadership.

Why Join Brello?

  • Mission-driven culture with a focus on innovation and integrity
  • Opportunity to shape the future of compliant, patient-centric healthcare
  • Collaborative, remote-friendly workplace with growth potential across AHG's portfolio
