Data Scientist

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop microcode for the IBM DS8000 series, ensuring timely product releases.
• Develop predictive models to support business decisions.
• Apply AI and machine learning techniques to large datasets.
• Perform data mining, discovery, and exploratory data analysis.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into products and processes.
• Work onsite in Tucson, San Jose, Houston, or Austin.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Preferred Education: Master's Degree.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• Proficiency in C, C++.
• Working knowledge of Linux, version control, and defect tracking tools.
• Experience with AI, Data Analytics, Data Mining.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• Experience in design, implementation, testing, and support of code.
• Expertise in C programming language.
• Familiarity with AIX/UNIX/Linux environments.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong teamwork, analysis, and debugging skills.
• Experience in real-time device driver environments and testing.
