Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical equipment specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions and technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping items and other mechanical equipment / materials as required
- Familiar with ASME Section VIII coded vessels and/or with Pump and Compressor industry standards
- Coordinate with vendors and review technical documentation
- Support interdisciplinary teams including Process, Piping, Structural, & Electrical Engineering
- Interfaces with other project disciplines and equipment suppliers in equipment sizing, rating and selection
- Participates in factory acceptance testing and/or site visits
Qualifications
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in Mechanical / Engineering Technology is required
- 0 - 5+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of ASME, API, and other industry standards
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
- High level of commitment to safety
- Highly motivated and positive attitude
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
Preferred Experience
- Experience in EPC projects for oil & gas or petrochemical sectors
- Exposure to offshore or modular design environments
- NCEES Engineering-in-Training preferred
- Familiarity with PV Elite, Compress, or similar software
