Software Test Development Engineer — Robotics (Houston, TX, On-site)

Seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to lead design and implementation of automated testing frameworks for autonomous mobile robotic systems. This role directly improves product reliability and speeds up release cycles for advanced engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain automated test frameworks (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end)
• Create test strategies and tools for validating software and hardware interfaces
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub)
• Lead integrated testing sprints with developers and field operators
• Analyze system logs and data to triage and resolve failures
• Collaborate on code reviews for design/testability
• Set testing standards and best practices
• Build internal testing tools; automate manual processes where possible

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing/SDET roles
• Proficient in Python, C++, and automation frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD automation and hardware-integrated product testing
• Collaborative, organized, and skilled at driving quality in fast-paced projects

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
• Role is on-site in Houston
