Supply Chain Applications Specialist - 6 month contract

Overview:
Seeking a Supply Chain Applications Specialist to support a major ERP transformation initiative. This role is heavily focused on Workday and requires expertise in inventory and/or procurement, EIBs, runnung reports, and data integration/migration processes. Responsible for tactical support for material management specific software packages and/or databases. This position's support includes serving as the primary point of contact for database functions such as data entry, data maintenance and maintenance with information technology (IT) and vendors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain systems, experience with Workday ERP, and the ability to troubleshoot, run reports, and work independently in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
Healthcare experience is a huge plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support for Workday ERP as part of a broader supply chain initiative.
- Liaises with IT and business stakeholders to support and maintain Supply Chain systems as appropriate.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for database functions such as data entry, data maintenance (i.e. batch upgrades), coordinates software updates and maintenance with IT or software vendor.
- Creates reports as requested or works with IT/software vendor(s) to create requested reports.
- Supports upgrade implementations and upgrades including testing and audit processes. Makes changes and corrections as needed and communicates to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain Workday EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder).
- Troubleshoot and support issues related to procurement and inventory processes.
- Generate reports and assist with Workday configuration and data cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support business process improvements.
- Participate in data conversion efforts from PeopleSoft to Workday.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-through on supply chain-related issues and resolutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in software and database support in supply chain environments.
- Workday ERP experience, including EIBs and reporting.
- Strong background in inventory and/or procurement systems.
- Experience working with ERP systems like PeopleSoft and migrating into Workday.
- Must be local to Houston and able to work onsite daily in the Bellaire office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience cleaning and analyzing supply chain data.
- Familiarity with GHX, Qsight, or PARX integrations (nice to have).
- Healthcare industry experience (not required).
