Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executes manufacturing "CI" assignments with/without supervision in the value stream.
  • Create flow by implementing a lean manufacturing system that aligns with strategic objects. Including installation of assembly lines, material pull systems, and u-shaped cells
  • Evaluates, assists and able to implement efficiency improvements in determined processes or equipment as assigned with and without guidance
  • Evaluates and performs time studies and process observations for efficiency improvements and line balancing
  • Develops and maintain standard work and other visual management tools
  • Projects may include new and improved layout proposals to improve material and process flow
  • Work safely utilizing PPE and following all safety procedures
  • Follow all inventory control procedures while implementing Kanban processes
  • Assist in training of the necessary Lean transformation tools and techniques as required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • BS in industrial Engineering
  • Experience in a Lean Environment/Culture and a Continuous Improvement role
  • Basic CAD experience required
  • Lean basic knowledge required and "practical application" of Lean Tools
  • Strong experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and management in a productive manner
  • "Proven" Ability to "Drive and Develop" Kaizen activity in a Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use hand tools as needed
  • Self-motivated – "Driver" type personality and strives for Accuracy and Proficiency at assigned tasks
  • Must support and display Quikserv Core Principles while leading by example in Safety & Quality

Physical Demands:

  • Must support Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, bending, and walking
