In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction and renovation projects for a large office renovation and move, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders and managing budgets. There are two parts to the project. Part 1: designing, implementing and managing a renovation project for a tenant occupied building. Part 2: planning an all employee and facilities office move from current building to the newly renovated building.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Manages office renovation projects from inception to occupancy, including:* Leading development of project scope, budget and timeline* Collaborating with management team on RFP development and contractor selection* Arranging expert consultation services required for projects, such as architects, engineers, surveyors, or designers* Serving as point of contact with external consultants/contractors* Facilitating project meetings with appropriate internal and external stakeholders* Keeping management informed of project status, communicating any issues which impact project delivery* Managing communication and projected plans with current tenants* Designing and coordinating plans for moving our employees into new space* Oversees work of architects, engineers, contractors and other external service providers:* Selecting appropriate consultation specific to the needs of the projects* Reviewing service proposals contracts, and negotiating pricing* Managing performance under contract* Coordinates review and approvals of design documents and cost estimates* Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines, construction safety procedures* Obtains necessary approvals for job approval, change orders, and invoiceSKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS* Proven decision making and problem-solving capabilities with strong follow up skills and attention to detail* Excellent oral and written communication skills with exceptional ability to translate ideas and thoughts into written documents* Continuous learning mindset and commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practicesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* Required: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Design, Engineering or related professional experience* Required: Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements* Required: 8+ years of design management experience demonstrating progressive responsibility and increased scope in physical building (design/construction) programs* Required: Provide portfolio upon application* Required: Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements* Required: Experience in architecture, interior design, office development, property development, planning, procurement, facilities management, and/or constructionABILITIES REQUIRED* Ability to meet highest attendance requirements* Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently* Access to reliable transportation* Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.* Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds* Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement* Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines* All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write EnglishDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
