Medical Assistant Opportunity In Baytown And Pasadena, TX

An oncology provider in Baytown and Pasadena, TX is looking to bring on a Medical Assistant. They are looking for one MA to support each location. They will be responsible for floating to the opposing site, if coverage is needed. This person will be responsible for triaging patients, rooming patients, recording patient data, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, administering injections, and some of the scheduling for appointments. They will also need to keep the patient rooms cleaned, organized, and prepared for new patients coming in. This person should be comfortable working alongside Radiation and Gynecology Oncologists, and exposure to bone marrow biopsies. It is important they can thrive in a fast environment, possess strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, they should be comfortable completing other administrative tasks, i.e. patient telephone calls for referrals, phone in prescriptions, patient education, as requested by their supervisor or physician.

Skills and Requirements Must Haves:

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Experience triaging patients, rooming patients, taking vitals, administering injections, and scheduling appointments
• Current CPR Certification or BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Experience with an EMR system
• Comfortable working in Outlook and Teams
• Self motivated and thrives in a fast environment
• Experience working in an oncology environment
• Bilingual (Spanish)
