Overview
The PLM Analyst will lead PLM system administration activities such as change management, upgrades, testing, and day-to-day operations. The role serves as the single point of contact for all PLM issues, training, access management, and functional workflow needs.
Job Duties
- Lead technical configuration and ongoing management of the PLM system.
- Develop, set up, and maintain security, user permissions, and ensure compliance with data security standards.
- Manage license configuration, license numbers, yearly maintenance, and related software budgets.
- Test and approve configuration changes requested by the business users and configuration manager.
- Maintain bi-directional adapters integration to key applications such as ERP and CAD systems.
- Decide on adoption of new features released by Oracle and communicate impact to business processes.
- Create and own SOPs for all system configuration and administrative activities.
- Manage patching and system maintenance schedule, ensuring minimal impact to business activities.
- Oversee external Managed Services team if any.
- Liaison between upstream/downstream stakeholders and PLM team for implementing and resolving any enhancements and delivery issues.
- Support additional user activities/requests related to the PLM system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- In-depth user and administrative knowledge of Oracle PLM modules.
- Experience with SaaS/cloud applications and Oracle Cloud Applications is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of engineering data management and various PLM systems (Oracle PLM Cloud, Agile PLM, Windchill, SolidWorks PDM/Manage/PLM, Enovia).
- 4–5 years of experience with Oracle PLM/PLM configurations is a plus.
- Experience with Engineering Change processes from Design to Production.
- Ability to work with business teams to create new processes.
- Ability to plan and lead internal Oracle PLM Data Conversion projects.
- Ability to train business users on PLM functionality and updates.
- Strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, self-starter.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Great communication skills for working with partners across the organization.
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Oracle PLM Certification or PMP is a plus.
Location
This position is full time and on-site at our Sugar Land, Houston Texas facility.
