Job Description
Our client, a leading industrial engineering and commissioning firm, is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Field Engineer to join their team. As the Sr. Instrumentation Field Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of facility startup and commissioning, leading a field team to validate and implement critical instrumentation systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a strong safety mindset to ensure accurate, on-time project execution.
Job Title: Sr. Instrumentation Field Engineer
Location: On-Site (Relocation Supported)
Compensation: $160K–$180K + Full Benefits + Relocation
What's the Job?
- Lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings to ensure safe practices in the field
- Supervise and mentor a team of instrumentation designers during commissioning
- Perform detailed facility walkdowns to validate instrumentation readiness
- Review/redline loop diagrams and confirm installation accuracy
- Validate installation of field equipment including temperature/pressure sensors, analytical instruments, valves, transmitters, gas detectors, and trays
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and meet design specs
What's Needed?
- 8+ years in instrumentation design and field engineering
- Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and validation processes
- Proven ability to lead field teams through startup and commissioning
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on Rosemont instrumentation experience (implementation and validation)
- Familiarity with process automation and control systems in industrial facilities
