Serve as a technical lead or staff engineer for software development activities. Responsible for developing and implementing the coding standards and practices of software development. Perform software development & maintenance, including developing, modifying, and enhancing custom, complex, and large software applications and databases to automate business processes, streamline business operations, and improve efficiencies. Perform software development working with in-house products developed in domains like Recruitment, Health and Wellness, Point of sale system (POS), and Omni channel's Payment processing System (PPS). Manage and write software specification documents and create architecture diagrams. Collaborate with clients and project managers to groom user and client stories into technical stories. Guide the product engineering team and the UI/UX team to define, design, and process systems that follow Human Interface Guidelines in compliance with industry standards for customer facing intuitive mobile and web applications. Assist with Application Programming Interfaces (API's) used to connect external applications to the POS, RMS, or PPS. Write unit test cases, integration test cases, and then create a systematic approach to deploy the applications to the servers using Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD). Review, write, and modify object-oriented code in high-level programming languages. Design application databases and store, retrieve, and manipulate data from application databases. Trouble-shoot, debug code, and correct complex errors in software applications. Resolve complex problems by reviewing and analyzing software documentation and production output to identify causes, solutions, and make appropriate referrals. Evaluate and follow through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Gather software requirements and prepare design documents, including accompanying the business analyst to consult with customers from departments at Arthur Lawrence to collect software requirements and understand business processes. Provide Customer & Technology Support, including answering questions and providing technical guidance, technical support, and/or training to users.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.

• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressive experience as Developer or Programmer with software development, with a particular focus on Retail and Fintech industries, and the ability to work collaboratively with teams in different locations including five (5) years of experience developing software applications for mobile and web platforms using programming languages such as Java, Swift, JavaScript, React, PHP, and HTML/CSS; in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms and web applications using modern web frameworks.
