Job Overview
Eaton's Corporate Sector division is seeking a System Architect IT Specialist with an expected annual salary range of $108,749.97 - $159,499.96. Salary offers are based on skills, experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
What You'll Do
- Define and communicate architectural visions for complex products, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to explore solutions, validate assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and select optimal paths.
- Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to align solutions with architecture guardrails.
- Lead planning, development, and high-level design of product solutions and architectural options.
- Establish system interfaces, data structures, cybersecurity measures, automation, and deployment strategies.
- Define nonfunctional requirements and consider economic impacts on design decisions.
- Participate in solution planning, demos, and iterative improvement events.
- Develop architectural runway to support business outcomes.
- Provide technical oversight, emphasizing security, quality, and automation.
- Negotiate with business units to prioritize nonfunctional work and reduce technical debt.
- Lead AI solutions design, integration, and lifecycle management, including machine learning workflows and large language models.
- Advise on prompt design and token optimization for cost and performance.
- Collaborate with senior IT and business leaders, cybersecurity teams, and oversee AI model implementations.
Qualifications
Basic (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 7 years in the software industry.
- Minimum 3 years in Azure OpenAI, LLMOps, MLOps, and related cloud services.
- Residence within 50 miles of specified locations (Beachwood, OH; Galesburg, MI; Houston, TX; Menomonee Falls, WI; Moon Township, PA; Raleigh, NC).
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred
- Extensive experience in software engineering, scalable applications, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in C#, Python, software design, DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and multiple cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of models like LAMA, Mistral, etc.

- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good judgment, time management, and decision-making abilities.
- Collaborative team working, patience, and empathy.
- Experience working with diverse, global teams.
