Job Description:
Perform moderately complex (journey-level) technical assistance work for public Health Region 6/5 South (PHR 6/5S) Tuberculosis (TB) Program. Work involves data entry into the National Electronic Data Surveillance System (NEDSS) and perform quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
General Qualification Guidelines, Experience and Education - Must Have
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in biological sciences, mathematics, public health, health information systems, or a related field is generally preferred. Experience in entering data in electronic health information management systems data management is preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Essential Job Functions:
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
- Reviews TB data records prepared in a comma-separated values (.csv) file and enters all assigned data records into NEDSS. Prioritizes TB data records for entry into NEDSS in accordance with instructions provided.
- Verifies entry into NEDSS by reviewing, correcting deleting or reentering patient data information from .csv files to ensure the accuracy, precision, completeness, and fidelity of data entered.
- Maintains a check list of all data records entered in NEDSS and submits to the program supervisor or team lead daily.
- Identities training needs and aids in the evaluation of the effectiveness of public health training to improve accuracy, precision, completeness, fidelity, and efficacy of data entry into NEDSS.
