We are seeking a hands-on and customer-focused IT Technician to support our team with day-to-day technical needs. This role is responsible for setting up and maintaining employee workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting printers and Wi-Fi, and resolving end-user technical problems in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Set up and configure new hire workstations (laptops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals).
- Install and troubleshoot software, drivers, and updates on user devices.
- Provide technical support for Wi-Fi connectivity, printing issues, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues (break/fix support).
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment.
- Connect, install, and configure network and local printers.
- Respond to and manage IT support tickets via help desk system.
- Support remote users as needed (e.g., via phone, chat, or remote desktop tools).
- Ensure all IT procedures and policies are followed during setup and troubleshooting.
- Assist with general IT operations and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Information Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, help desk, or technician role
- Experience with setting up and supporting desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems, and office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners)
- Proficient in Windows and/or macOS environments
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi setup)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and admin tools
- Experience using remote support tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Remote Desktop)
- Knowledge of basic Active Directory functions (e.g., user account creation, password resets)
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Customer-focused attitude with patience and professionalism
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
