Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Software Procurement Specialist for our client. This opportunity supports a major organization investing in long-term IT infrastructure and digital transformation. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategy, negotiate high-impact vendor contracts, and play a key role in optimizing the procurement function across the enterprise.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT goods and services.
  • Identify and assess potential vendors, aligning selection with business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations, including financial health, compliance, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define vendor selection criteria.
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, SLAs, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with organizational and legal standards.
  • Identify procurement risks and create mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as primary liaison for vendor management and escalation.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and improvement discussions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of contracts and vendor performance data.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with internal governance and external regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, cloud, and IT services procurement.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze vendor proposals and performance data.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and procurement best practices.
  • Master's degree or certifications such as CPSM or CSCP preferred.
