Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Software Procurement Specialist for our client. This opportunity supports a major organization investing in long-term IT infrastructure and digital transformation. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategy, negotiate high-impact vendor contracts, and play a key role in optimizing the procurement function across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for IT goods and services.
- Identify and assess potential vendors, aligning selection with business goals.
- Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct vendor evaluations, including financial health, compliance, and performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define vendor selection criteria.
- Lead negotiations for pricing, SLAs, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
- Ensure all contracts comply with organizational and legal standards.
- Identify procurement risks and create mitigation strategies.
- Serve as primary liaison for vendor management and escalation.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and improvement discussions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of contracts and vendor performance data.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with internal governance and external regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, cloud, and IT services procurement.
- Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze vendor proposals and performance data.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and procurement best practices.
- Master's degree or certifications such as CPSM or CSCP preferred.
