Software Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of remote data collection solutions for measurement and SCADA systems. They are seeking a highly motivated developer to join their software engineering team. As part of this team, the right candidate will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the software engineering team to design, develop, enhance, and support our products.

• Utilize your strong programming skills to contribute to the development of our systems, with a focus on Windows (some Linux is good also).

• Software design/software architecture design on platform products.

• Apply your knowledge of object-oriented design principles to ensure high-quality code.

• Work with SQL and relational databases to optimize data management and retrieval.

• Leverage your experience with Windows and Linux systems to enhance our product offerings.

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team members.

• Work independently and as a team player, showcasing great interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.

• 3+ years in C++ programming language.

• Experience developing in protocols

• TCP/IP Socket based communication development experience.

• IIoT/MQTT development experience.

• Docker/Containerization/Cloud Native development experience.

• Must be familiar with Linux (any Windows advantageous).

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• You may live in any of the following states: Texas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, or New Mexico.
