Cimarron is seeking Software Engineers to be responsible for the software design, development, testing, and integration of the Axiom Space Commercial EVA Space Suit software in Houston, TX. The selected candidates will play a key role in developing software for commercial human spaceflight systems.

Key Duties:

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy software solutions such as propulsion, command & data handling (C&DH), environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS), caution and warning (C&W), networks, datalinks, power, and other flight systems.
• Design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy software in prototype, simulation, and flight environments.
• Communicate with subject matter experts across disciplines, users, and management throughout the software test and development lifecycle.
• Maintain disciplined software configuration control and management processes.
• Develop and support Flatsuit lab interfaces, S_modules, and test setup configurations.
• Implement and maintain Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) interfaces, S_modules, and related testing infrastructure.
• Develop hardware simulations to support and surround the CONX hardware.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible due to facility security requirements.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, including testing for marijuana use.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency with C++ programming.
• Proficiency with React.
• Experience with LabVIEW.
• Proficiency with the TRICK simulation environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience with the TARI Framework for software development or system integration.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile frameworks using tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with Git, MBSE, JAMA, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with embedded communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, USB, RS-232/422/485, Ethernet.
• Experience with networking protocols such as UDP and TCP.
• Knowledge of software development standards like DO-178C.
• Experience designing UML diagrams such as use-case, activity, and timing diagrams.
